Juno Wei Chen, CFA
Principal
Juno Wei Chen, CFA, is the Principal of RootsOn Capital LLC and is responsible for the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio construction, and ongoing investment oversight.
Prior to founding RootsOn Capital LLC, Juno worked for more than15 years across financial services and institutional investment management, including sell-side experience at State Street and buy-side portfolio management experience at Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) based in Singapore and Columbia Threadneedle Investments based in US.
Juno’s professional experience included portfolio management and asset allocation responsibilities related to investment strategies representing more than $5 billion in assets. Her experience has focused on portfolio construction, risk management, multi-asset investing, and long-term investment decision-making.
Outside of her professional work, Juno has been involved in volunteer and community initiatives, including service on a board subcommittee of Singapore American School and as Co-Chair of the Asian employee network at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. She has also served as a volunteer alumni career advisor within the MIT Sloan community, is a member of the MIT Sloan Annual Fund Dean’s Circle, and has been a guest speaker at MIT Sloan and Nanyang Technological University.
Juno holds a Master of Finance degree from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Juno is also a CFA charterholder.
